Searching for identity at photo fair Unseen

f anything stands out in the selection of photos below, it’s how often photographers look for identity in their work. Lisandro Suriel (Saint Maarten) examines his black identity, the Hungarian Andi Galdi Vinko questions her role as mother and artist, the Chinese pixy liao examines who she is as a partner in a long-term relationship. These photos, and many more, will be featured during the tenth edition of the Unseen Photo Fair , the international art fair that will be held again this year at the Westergasterrein in Amsterdam. Seventy galleries from all over the world are taking part in the anniversary edition, and more than sixty publishers will present their books at the Book Market. The fair can be visited from 16 to 18 September.
